what is an architect?

The architect is called an architect in Hindi, their job is to plan, design, and review the construction of buildings, etc. A practicing architect is defined as a person who provides design services for a building, etc.

In simple words, an Architect is a person who has a great love for design and is especially planning and designing the construction of buildings. Architecture can also be called art which is used along with science to design a place.

Generally, an architect is required to prepare the design before the construction of every type of building be it a house, college, hospital, or anything else. Therefore an architect is rich in creative ideas and vision.

What do architects do?

Architect means that architects are not only involved in the design work of buildings but apart from this work, the work of a licensed architect is also involved in the supervision of projects and public safety.

It is meant to say that whatever map or design is being made by the architect for any building or other site, it is necessary to take special care of public safety in it. The role of an architect is at every stage of building construction from its opening till the building is ready.

The architect may be required even after the construction of the building is completed as there is always the possibility of incorporating new surroundings and ideas into the buildings. Hence the aspects of an architect's work can be divided into three major parts.

1. Design:

The first role of an architect is to design a building or site, in which such builders who want to build the building according to their thinking, hire an architect to make the design.

In this, the work of the architect is to make a map or design of the building or site according to the request of his client. Apart from creative design, the architect also needs technical knowledge, etc. to do this work. The architect is required to build in compliance with design safety regulations, local planning regulations, and restrictions.

2. Preparation of Documents:

The second phase of the role of an architect is to document the final design, that is, in this phase, the architect has to paper the design given by the customer.

To test the feasibility of the design i.e. reality, detailed drawings have to be generated, for this, the architect can also use techniques like CAD. At this stage, the architect may need to modify the document as per the requirement of the client, budget, norms. Once all the design documents have been completed, a second set of the same documents may also need to be created.

3. Construction Roles:

This stage consists of the preparation of construction documents, in which the design is converted into instructions and technical specifications for the contractors and construction experts so that they can build the building or site only after following them.

Thereafter, when the project reaches the construction stage, an architect's job is to attend site visits and meetings, supervise construction, sign, negotiate with contractors and resolve any issues that may arise.
